OK, so how about a little satirical cynicism?
APPL may take a significant hit in the very challenging and foggy immediate future; possibly even days. Lot’s of weak knees will jump ship 
and run for safer ground. The stock may tumble appreciably. Apple will have to fish or cut bait.

APPL keeps resetting those hooks until they land a boatload of fine Japanese Sushi for their Stockholders by way of a permanent fix for the unfortunate predicament they’re in.
I’m confident Tim Cook and Company, or should I say FAMILY, will pull it off somehow. There’s just too much money, intelligence and TRUE GRIT not to.
The BAIT?
To be forced legally and via moral suasion by many factions to bite on the hook of government and open the back door to inevitable penetration and possible if not probable ill fate.
However, It will be a win win for the good and not so good governments of which many are our enemy. They will have open anytime access to any/all human intelligence forevermore. Adios, CY BER PRIVACY.
Bottom Line? APPL’s stockholders will win out in the long run either way.
If APPL beats the FED? Lot’s of folks will have a lot more faith and confidence about their privacy. Everyone including groups like drug, human trafficking, myriad crime syndicates including ISIS a and every other terrorist group will start purchasing APPL products like crazy. Stock will go up.
If the FED beats APPL? The government, good or bad will be buying a lot more APPL Products & Services because they’ll have a way to the back door. Stock will go up.
APPL stock to soon soar!!
