The 2nd Annual Delray Beach Bacon & Bourbon Fest is Back!  March 18 & 19, 2016

 

We know a fun event when we see one, and that’s why the Delray Delray Beach Bacon and Bourbon FestBeach Bacon & Bourbon Fest is back for a second year!

 

What:  The Delray Beach Bacon & Bourbon Fest

When: Friday and Saturday, March 18 & March 19, 2016

 

Hours:  Noon to 11 PM

 

Where: 51 N. Swinton Avenue in Delray Beach

On the grounds of The Delray Beach Center for the Arts & Old School Square Park

 

Contact:  561-279-0907

Parking: The Old School Square Parking Garage at NE 1st Street and NE1st Avenue

South County Parking Garage (Behind the Library on Atlantic)

Admission:  $25.00 per day

 

This is the perfect pairing of one of my favorite foods, bacon, with bourbon.  And if you want to learn more about pairings, you can attend any number of seminars and tastings.

What a fun event this is going to be.  We have a similar event in Los Olivos (wine country of SB county) called Bacon, Bourbon and Barrel.  The barrel is wine barrel tasting.  It is sold out the minute it is announced.  I love the menu you listed.  A

I was thinking about it and realized I was lying. I had the most amazing thick sliced bacon wrapped around stuffed figs a couple weeks ago. The bourbon part was true though

Sharon Tara I used to wrap the dove and quail breasts that Larry got in bacon. You can eat almost anything as long as it's wrapped in bacon.

It seems so many places are including bacon in their recipes these days.  I recently saw a bacon and carmel shake on a menu but I wasn't brave enough to try it.  Sounds like a fun event.

Sounds like an interesting festival, Kathy. Although this might be one I'd be passing on -- I don't particularly care for bacon (not even the smell of it) and as for bourbon... well, I don't drink any spirits. Of course, who knows, if I attended I might be converted!
