Here are 10 reasons why the sellers loved living in Hearthstone Village:

1. Proximity to the Metro's Red Line (it's this close)

2. Having a garage plus an off-street parking spot and not having to pay an extra parking fee

3. Proximity to many great restaurants and all the things you need (dry cleaners, post office, grocery store, mall): we loved being able to walk everywhere

4. Proximity to trails: an urban location but we could still go for a walk in the woods! We loved living so close to Sligo Creek and would often walk out the back neighborhood to enjoy its trails.

5. The condo association takes care of a lot of the maintenance (and we had time to go for walks or enjoy the great restaurants in the area), including digging out after a snowstorm!

6. Having a dumpster in the community and not having to wait for trash day: the condo's open lay-out and large dining room are perfect for entertaining and hosting dinner parties, so this comes in really handy!

7. The community: we had regular "1st Friday pot-luck BBQs" in the community space by the play-ground or sat on our front stoops chatting with the neighbors and enjoying a glass of wine while our kids played with chalk or rode their tricycles up and down the street.

8. Having a separate laundry room and having it on the same level as the bedrooms: I didn't have to carry any laundry baskets up and down stairs.

9. The corner jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom: I wish I could pack it up and move it to our new home!

10. The 24 hour Safeway: it just opened up a couple of years ago. It's right by the Metro stop, and so convenient. No matter the time of day or night you run out of something, Safeway is just a short walk away!
