In case you have never heard of this place in southern central GA let me tell you a bit abut it. Wild Adventures is a small Theme and Water Park in Valdosta GA. It has been described in many of the reviews I read as an upscale Carnival and that description maybe pretty darn close.
Wild Adventures can't really be compared to Universal or even Six Flags. But can be compared to Holiday World in Indiana. There are your typical roller coasters that go fast and turn upside down in a crazy figure eight and lots of rides for younger kids. All told I think there is somewhere in the neighborhood of 40 rides. This does not include the Water Park. The Water Park it looks like is your typical water park with water slides, lazy river and giant bucket of water.
The food is very much like food you would find at the county fair. They had turkey legs, Dippin Dots, elephant ears and lots of bbq and pizza. The typical type of food you would expect to eat too much of and regret hours later.
The wait for rides is maybe 15 minutes at the most, and that is even during the busy season. The atmosphere is laid back and the park workers are super friendly and polite. It is a family friendly place that does not serve alcohol or tolerate bad behavior by park patrons.
We had a blast and will return for sure. If you find your self in southern central GA and want to experience a family friendly theme/water park then Wild Adventures is worth the visit. It is highly recommended by my 13 year old son.
