Mobile Home Park Fact or Fiction

By

Typically people have a bad impression of mobile home parks.  It is understandable.  Many of us have that park near us that we drive by every day.  The homes are run down, grass needs to be mowed, trash picked up and the overall condition is so awful it looks like they are just screaming for someone to put them out of their misery and condemn the place.   But I am here to tell you that their are some really spectacular parks and if you saw them you would be impressed.

Many of them today are gated for security purposes.  The streets are wide and paved and some of them even have sidewalks.  Most of the very nice 55+  parks offer yard maintenance and have strict guidelines for upkeep.  You will find heated community pools, lakes for fishing, community centers and some have restaurants.   There are always events going on in the community and monthly bus trips to fun outings.  It is really no different than many planned communities.

The sense of pride and community spirit can always be seen in the best parks.  They know that if they foster that type of friendly and responsible atmosphere that the residents are always much happier and will stay for years.   So stop thinking that they are all like that one you drive by everyday.  Because I can promise you they are not........

George I agree.  I lived in one for  a few years back in the early 80's.  They were so badly made with cheap materials.  Now they are built like a house and have drywall instead of cheap paneling.  Heck they can cost upwards of 750000

Wayne I had that impression when I lived in CT & MA once I moved to Los Angeles and were invited to a few people's homes which turned out to be Mobile Homes in a gated community I was shocked and became a fan... BTW in Malibu would you believe they go for anywhere from $850, to $1.5m:)) tells you something, Endre
