Minnesotan's...get your house off the lake!!!

Get that house off the lake!!

The ice is getting thin and with the very warm weather we are seeing to move in it will be almost impossible in a week.

Sure, northern Minnesota still has some good ice, but per my friends the ice is down from 26 inches to 16 inches...

Another car went through the lake in Minneapolis yesterday...

Why wait and take the chance.

Also, if your house falls through the ice...you can expect a large bill form the DNR!!

Ice fishing houses mayonly weigh a few hundred pounds, but those in the background need to be gone NOW!

My husband mentioned a news clip from a few days ago - several cars were gathered in one area and they slowly sunk... Apparently the water wasn't deep, because their tail ends were sticking up.

The season is over kids! Time to move your house.

This is terrific advice for Minnesotans! Mississippians wouldn't have a clue about driving or parking on the lake, however. :)

We don't have the type of ice here that offers anything more than an occasional bit of skating and even then with caution.  A car through the ice could be a real problem especially getting home that  night
