Ann Arbor Greener and Brighter
Getting Greener and Brighter
Spring graphic

Monday was a blue day, so many issues came up over the weekend. I hate to write about negative things but all the issues in my last post were happening all at once, and that was what was on my mind.

Now it is Friday and most of the issues have been cleared up. The seller who didn't want to accept the price I gave her on her house, called and we are going to list it where I showed her the Solds and Actives were.

We turned the house we closed in that got sold in a foreclosure over to the title company and said, " Here it is your problem, get it fixed and get us clean title"! Why should we try to fix an issue that they didn't send in the "short sale" check in time. It is still a mess, it will get resolved, but it is off our plate. My team member who wrote the offer was trying to get it resolved by spending hours on the phone. From one department in CA and one in AZ.

We split the difference in the appraised value with the sellers and buyers. That is going to close on April 30th.

The sellers who didn't pull permits is reducing the house by 8,000. and getting rid of the mold, and installing a mitigation system by the 30th so that will close too.

My "short sale" people have agreed to turn it over to a "short sale" specialist I am starting to work with and she if finally going to write that hardship letter and we have a showing today.

The bank that said we could not make an offer with a contingency on the home inspection...well it is a USDA loan, so when they inspected it we found mold so now they have to fix it or we will walk.

So six issues out of 10 issues I woke up to on Monday getting resolved isn't bad, but they have taken away from my time on Active Rain.

And the best news of all is we are starting to see, Ann Arbor show life of Spring.

Missy - It can't rain all the time now, can it?  I'm loving the weather right now, though my allergies are acting up.  As Lenn pointed out, it did seem like you had a 'colorful' week....kind of matching the season and your blog:-)

Well you know the saying" It gets worse before it gets better."  Remember your post"So You Had a Bad Day" well it's a new day, new beginning, new start. I guess the flowers are your happy place.  Take time over the weekend and visit your happy place and come back ready to go!  Keep up the hard work!

Missy.... glad that many of the issues are coming together. I can vouch that these issues can take so much of your time away.  I just cleared up my one major issue for the week, so I am with you on that.  And yes, I liked Lenn's comment also.....  ;o)    It will be much better next week now...

Missy, glad to hear that your week has gotten better.  By the way, my parents just returned from a whirlwind trip around the mid-West including Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and they mentioned that they loved Ann Arbor.

I wish there was a way to make some of these posts "scratch and sniff"...love love love lilacs!!

Missy, getting 6 out of 10 issues resolved or on their way to a resolution is wonderful.  Once again it shows how hard you and your team works.  Congrats.

Missy,

I am so glad I came here to read your blog! I have been having a horrible week with situations, some very similar to yours and I was starting to feel a little overwhelmed! It actually made me feel better after reading this and your other post! It's not just me:(  I would like to say TGIF, but I'm a Realtor:) I'm not sure which day is the "good" day:)

See Missy I told you... with a Monday like that it was bound to get better.  Your week had no where to go but up!! LOL   Glad you got the majority of them resolved.  I hope the rest fall in place soon as well.

Hi Missy...Thanks for sharing you good (at least much better) real estate news with us.

Now, as far as spring if you want a bigger dose come on down!  The azaleas are in full bloom and it is looking beautiful.

One of the appendages to my person is a small notebook that I write my daily duties and tasks. This post reminded me about how I organize. Very often I decide ~ "This is not in my area of expertise" then I let the issue go. I sensed you share the same mindset. A very understated mindset to adopt as we age (gracefully, of course).

Hi Missy,

Sounds like you had a busy and positive week in the long-run. And a beautiful sign of spring, what more could you ask for?

Missy- With all that going on I'm surprised you're here at all :)  I loved the ending with the lilac ready to bloom.....spring should help lighten the soul for dealing with all those problems.  Hang in there, all of you, soon you'll be riding those jet ski's you got for Christmas :)

04/26/2008 12:57 AM by Kathy McGraw ~ Calif Broker (CELLing Realty)

Missy--Read both posts...Wow glad things are getting better for you and your team. Hopefully you won't get the spring snow that we are seeing. It has kind of put a damper on our spring. Hard to play baseball in the snow! And my husband/son were going to get the pitching machine out today! :( Oh well....Brighter days are ahead.

BTW--How did you get your blog to line up on a full page? I haven't changed mine because I don't like the overlap on the full page.

MISSY, Congrats on being such a good problem solver.  With those type of issues 6 out of 10 resolved is a good percentage.  And people wonder why they need REALTORS!!!!!
