At a sales meeting yesterday morning we were presented with this question - Are we helping buyers hold out for the "best deal" by continually advertising price reductions of a property?  If a buyer sees that a property (or an area) is constantly being reduced in price, why would they buy now?  Yes, the seller has to be realistic with an initial asking price (our job to make sure that happens), and there are reasons beyond our control for reducing the price.  The question, however, is not should we reduce, just should we use the word "reduced"?  Wouldn't advertising a fantastic price get the same attention, without delaying a buyer's action?  Are we helping the media and internal panic of our industry with our ads and company emails about how much a price has been reduced?  Thoughts?

Yes If you say things like its a buyers market or anything that makes buyers think they are in the driver seat you are feuling the fire!
