Tuesday Travelogue-February 23rd
Its been a long hard winter so far so I think that we should all take a trip to the beach with Gayle Rich-Boxman Fishhawk Lake Realtor (503)755-2905 for a little mid winter vacation on this last day of a very long February.
Welcome to the ongoing weekly series called Tuesday Travelogue. We are in our 82nd week! Each week, some ActiveRain bloggers are spotlighted to take us somewhere we may not have been on some kind of virtual travel (and it doesn't cost a dime!). Here is the purpose:
to enjoy the ride"
"take a trip without even leaving the farm"
"expand your horizons"
"see through someone else's eyes"
and hopefully much more!
After a rather soggy winter out in the Northwest parts of Orygun, I decided that this week it's high time for some beachy, sunny-type ventures!
Kathy Streib is always such a tease when it comes to this. She takes us to Delray Beach, FLA for those sneak peeks at the day, so early in the morning, standing all alone (it seems), taking in the sunrise that seems to rise just for HER.
How about visiting beaches in New Hampshire? Hmmmm....I like that idea. Maybe a bit chillier, yes, but in August, it would still be totally relaxing and warm. Salisbury Beach camping, here we come! Monica McGillicuddy takes us there.
I have to say for myself, nothing matches Hawaii for beach and beauty. Georgie Hunter always delivers with both. I just give a sigh of relief from my day when I visit her posts. Check out black sand beach in Hana, Maui.
Normally, when I'm at the beach, I wanna CHILL. No people, just the sound of the waves, the grainy sand filtering through my toes, but there was something so socially delicious about virtually visiting and passing all of these people at Jammin' Jensen Thursday in Jensen Beach, FLA! I loved the tans, the shorts, the age ranges, the casual milling about and totally laid back attitude. I REALLY wanted to hang out here, thanks to Gabe Sanders for his wonderfully kicked-back video!
Please don't forget to comment on these blog posts and I hope that you enjoyed all of these virtual travels.
I have to admit that part of what inspired me was listening to David Gilmore's CD, On An Island.
I've felt the power in a holy place
Wished for comfort when in need
Now I'm here in a state of grace
This earthly heaven is enough for me
