Have you not been amazed by the ongoing exploits of American Astronaut Scott Kelly ? We have all seen his unbelievable photos from orbit showing everything from lightning storms, to the Aurora Borealis to his comical bits on late night TV. He has been a scientist, a pioneer and an inspiration to people all over the world. It has been an amazing journey for sure.
After being isolated from the earth for a year, some things have surely changed for Scott Kelly though. As soon as he landed, procedures began to test the reaction of his human body to the long term effects of space travel. Personally, the claustrophobia would have caused me to go bonkers. But there were other effects of his being away so long that will be considered.
Yes, there will be physical exams, mental exams and psychological exams to see how he has adapted and handled the changes in his environment. But remember, there were changes back here on earth over the same time period; changes that could easily effect his life beyond space.
I think it might be a good idea when NASA is finished with their exams for him to do another one. Yes folks, Scott Kelly is still human and just like you and me. When he returns to his "normal" life back on planet earth, he too, will need a place to reside. Perhaps with a little more square footage.
So, if you are reading this post for and about you, Scott Kelly; let me suggest a financial exam. That's right folks, he needs a checkup just like each of you do. A lot can change in your financial life in a year's time. Do you realize mortgage rates are lower now than when Scott Kelly went into space ? And what do you want to bet, they will be higher by the time he could return from another year long excursion into the wild blue yonder ?
As the world turns every day, change is all around us. Scott Kelly will discover many, many changes that occurred while he was away. But like all of us, housing is still a priority. With rates at near historical low levels, NOW is the time to reevaluate your housing situation. A mortgage checkup is the best way to make sure YOU are ready to proceed into the future.
