Anyone Know A Great Realtor

By
Real Estate Agent 40CA1147997

The power of Facebook on the local page Webster, New York which I follow had the question Anyone Know A Great Realtor?

There were 139 responses and yes I made it a couple of times which of course makes me feel good. My problem with a few agents that personally responded was of the false self promotion. By this it was call me as I sold x amount of inventory last year. As I had never heard of this one I checked and found a big fat zero! Another how many homes wee sold and that number is over a five year period.

As I am not one to pat myself on the back and a lot of inventory sold was in the lead Broker's name as a buyer's agent it seem disturbing how low must one go to gain new business.

If you are looking to buy or sell in Webster, New York I would love the opportunity of earning your business.

Hey Ray Raymond E. Camp Since the people that depend on  this source are not my client profile, I never bother with these. Personal referrals are still the best.

I would love it if the world had a "Check your egos at the Door" sign on it.

Good morning Raymond.  If one is a truly great agent they don't need to shout it out to the world.  Let their clients do the talking, word of mouth spreads faster than any print or TV media.  The good thing is that word of mouth it keeps on giving and is not just a one or two time 15 seconds of fame.

Noah Seidenberg I totally agree.

Kathy Streib It seems the good ones do.

James Dray Second that comment.

Raymond, this type of false advertising is sad, and wonder how many really believed it?

People see right through that....if an agent has to be suggesting their own name because nobody else is....pretty sad.

Sharon Tara That is my opinion; sad that when you point it out they continue.

Stuff like this is very frustrating to those that are very ethical, but it does take them to make all of us look bad to the public.

Hey Raymond, were you expecting any other kind of result really? I am sure the hot air bags all jumped on it.

Marco Giancola,

I do not have a problem of one trying to get business; just don't fabricate your results unless you are covering furniture.

I too see agents stretching the truth about their sales and skills. Their arms must be tired from patting themselves on the back all the time.

Stuff like this really, really bugs me Raymond E. Camp. People like that give all Realtors a bad name.

Hello Raymond ... interesting and I think you would be a wonderful Realtor to use if I was to purchase real estate in your communities.

As for being a Great Realtor ... well I could call myself a very knowledgeable Realtor, but I don't think I would use the word GREAT

Maybe a great human being, great friend, great father, great lover, etc

Hi Raymond E. Camp , It takes all kinds, like anything else.  We have to compete with them, but honesty and good will eventually win out.  We don't need to stoop to their level. Our reputation will precede us.
