The year end (2007) Tooele report on home sales around the State are in and there is one thing they really point out.  THEY ARE LATE !!!

At least they are late in Tooele, Stansbury Park, and Grantsville Ut. ( I am going to start putting the Ut. after Grantsville from now on to help Google tell the difference between our Grantsville, and some city named after a great General or a bad President back in the late 1800s).

Anyway this outdated report is compiled from home sales statistics supplied by the MLS to the Utah Association of Realtors, who gives it to me who then passes it on to you.... After 4 months.

Not very impressive or timely to the kind of people that pay attention to the dates on milk cartons, the style of clothes they wont wear, or believe there is a good reason to change your oil every few thousand miles.

This report, covers all of the Counties in Utah, and lists the number of homes sold by county. It lists whether that number went up or down from the previous year. The average price of each home sold is calculated and compared to the price of homes sold the year before.

The stats for Tooele County, which in terms of home sales means Tooele City,  Stansbury Park, and Grantsville Ut. look like this.

In 2007 there were 1060 homes sold inTooele County. Thats down 217 houses from the year before.
Tooele houses sold, down 16.99% in 2007.
The average price of the Tooele homes in 2006 was $171,458 dollars.
The average price increased 20.09 % in 2007
Average price for a home in Tooele County in 2007 was $206,012 dollars.

As usual, keep in mind that these numbers do not reflect all of the New Homes sold by builders, (new Construction) or most of the homes for sale by owner (FSBOs). The reason? They are not run across the MLS so that the thousands of Utah agents have access to them.
