Its a new show that takes billionaires, Senators, Governors, surgeons and no body's (for contrast) and pits them against each other intellectually, emotionally, psychologically, and mentally so that we, the people, can be entertained sort of like what the Caesars did in ancient Rome for the mob. Gladiators sport where going for the kill to get the thrill which takes our minds off real problems
GET TO WORK!
I am not running for office but I now know all the problems that are plaguing the United States of America. My first question is this. Everyone is saying what they will do if they are elected but the question begged from both the Republican and Democratic party is what are the current administrations doing? We have enough problems to last a lifetime.
START A TO DO LIST
You see everyone in power in places like congress, Senator world, and Governor positions and the like have their hands full of the same old issues for the last fifty years and have done literally nothing about it all. How do we know this? Well the ones running are telling us plus we are living in it.
NO CHANGES
No change is what we can expect and if there is change, it is not for the people but for the few who will benefit from the changes. Second question: Why do people want to become the most powerful person in the world? They say to bring change but in reality, it is to wield power and manipulate events
MEDIA ANTICS DISGRACEFUL
The Media coverage is runner up for wickedness the likes I have never seen for being bold and to create revenue through ratings based on Jerry Springer tactics. Everyone involved in this little soap opera of dysfunction from the candidates to the news folks and the owners of the stations have this in common
WEALTHY & POWERFUL
They are well off and secure so having nothing better to do, they just play with hundreds of millions of peoples lives here and globally with this irresponsible approach and indifference to real problems and issues needing immediate attention. The world sees that might makes right not right makes right
DON'T GET US MAD?
Right after we dropped the Atomic bombs on Japan, we taunted the entire world behind the scenes with veiled threats stating that we will not put up with certain conduct and can do something about it. The worlds response? They hushed up and then went to work on their own nuclear programs. Why?
TWO (or more) CAN PLAY AT THIS GAME
He who has the gold rules and they wanted in on the ruling aspect. First to be able to say "you are not going to bomb us without getting bombed and secondly, we want things too or else. This led to mutual assured destruction or MAD which has held us all off from killing each other
KILL AND BE KILLED
Imagine that. All over the supposed civilized world, are steady constant thoughts of killing off the population of the world so that there will only be one rule. This has been going on since man-kinds inception and failure to rise but instead fall and take everything with them when they do
DUCK & COVER
During the 1950's, it got so bad that there were people advertising in the mainstream media selling bomb shelters that can withstand a nuclear blast. People were buying them and in our schools, they started a program of duck and cover under the desks to survive first strike. But then reality struck
ALL GONE
Common sense told everyone that what is the use or purpose of surviving, assuming you could, when everything was wiped out? All that you see and know would be gone. Roads, utilities, food farms, fresh water, medical help and the fact that it takes thousands of years for nuclear poisons to subside
SOME WILL SURVIVE
Yet, one other thing remained. The very rich would survive. The Saudis have built vast underground cities designed to sustain them for years well after a major nuclear confrontation. Other wealthy and powerful persons and organizations have done the same. Here is the shocking news of it all....
WHOSE MAKING THESE DECISIONS
These are the folks that are making decisions about our welfare? Does this make sense? They have a guarantee of a good life, compensation and now the ultimate protection which is survival of themselves and their families. The rest of us are collateral damage and there is nothing to be done about it.
WHERE IS UTOPIA?
The United States has the ability and the resources to make sure that everyone in this country is working, well-off, and has a high quality of life that includes safety, medical help and sustenance. Why aren't we doing that? It is very doable. A country as powerful as we are should have a Utopia by now
NO WIN SITUATION COMING
Who is worthy to be voted into office to affect change necessary to end the same old problems that have been around decade after decade? I don't see or hear anyone qualified to do so. No matter what happens and who gets elected, half of America will be upset. This is not good for us or the world at large
ATTITUDE RUNS THE WORLD
Morale is something we don't talk about enough. If it is not kept high and fed, despair, lack of hope and diminishing faith kick in and the worst of human nature surfaces. The courts, jails, criminal activity and poverty will increase until it explodes. Civil war anyone? Global war?
