It's a Great Time for Buyers

Those who think they’ve been excluded from the dream of owning their own home need to think again. While it’s true many conventional lenders have tightened their lending & underwriting requirements there are other programs that have become more flexible.

Grants offer down payment assistance,
FHA gives borrowers competitive interest rates & flexible debt-to-income ratios
VA & Cal-Vet loans offer lower than market interest rates, a low or no down payment and expanded eligibility so that nearly every veteran can buy a home
Special programs for Police, Firefighters, Healthcare Workers and Teachers

I think if more people looked at buying a house less as an investment and more as a place to live, make a home and raise a family, more people would be buying. I agree it is a great time to buy, prices and selection are great. Thanks for the post.
