I wanted to comment on the passing of Nancy Reagan yesterday. I have always liked the Reagans and respected them as truly upstanding people. Ronald Reagan was my favorite President and Nancy Reagan was a fine example of a very caring, classy and dignified first lady. People like the Reagans don't grow on trees and are a dying breed in today's world. It is comforting when you can truly respect the people in charge and not feel like you are settling for 'the best of the worst' which is what I feel about today's political situation. I think it is the end of an era with the passing of people like the Reagans.
On another note, I loved the Reagans love for each other. It was beautiful to see and always warmed my heart. For those of you romantics out there, I would recommend reading the heartfelt letters that Nancy Regan published from 'her Ronnie'. I wish we would see more love in our world like their love for each other.
I admire and respect Nancy for the many years that she cared for Ron in his decline with Alzheimers. They were both stand up people. The world needs more people like them.
Rest in Peace, Nancy and Ronald - together again, at last.
