Marketing Requires A Monthly Budget For Consistent Use And Success!!

I'm always looking for ways to share information targeted to new (and struggling) agents on how to create a successful career in real estate.   What better way than share the wisdom of a successful veteran?  

With such a high failure rate, spending our two most important resources... Time and Money... wisely is so critical.

I think Barbara's favorite word besides "Marketing" is "Consistent".  She is so right.  Consistent Marketing is the key to success.   

Oh... yes, Barbara loves the words "fit" and "exercise" too!

You will be the wiser for heeding her sage advice.

Every problem has a solution.  That seems like a simple enough statement, but how often do agents not think that far ahead to find the solution?  Many see that they have a problem, and they continue to expend energy in the same manner that previously produced nothing. 

How many agents fail to address their issues with management or a mentor?  Too many.  There are solutions to every problem, and most problems are derived from lack of marketing.  Agents who do not have a budget in place for marketing are headed for a disaster.

Agents who work in the real estate business with a “one day at a time” attitude will tank early in their career.  There MUST be a dollar amount set aside to be devoted only to marketing.  There must be a monthly budget, and those marketing dollars MUST be used WISELY.

That’s where mentoring comes into play.  Use your Broker/owner/manager to give you guidance with establishing a budget based on your last year’s income.  Your marketing dollar must reap a profit, and that equates to an improved income over your previous year. 

 

It costs money to make money, and the real estate business offers a plethora of sources to utilize for marketing.  Be cautious and utilize some guidance with selecting the best sources for the greatest production for your marketplace.  Spend the money, and make the most of your 2015.
