Excellent advice, after years of neglect I have made health a high priority in the last year, and 2016 will be another year of progress.

If you’re like most people, you set goals for your health in January. Maybe you set a goal to drop a couple of pants sizes or to run a half marathon or to improve your diet. You may think that these goals will only impact your health; however, in reality, they’ll have an impact on all areas of your life and may even help you to improve your business. Here’s how:

You have more incentive to prioritize your day. How else will you squeeze in time at the gym or a run? Prioritizing your day is important anyway—it ensures that you complete the most important tasks on your list each. Exercise gives you one more reason to prioritize your schedule, which will make you more efficient and streamline your business.

Exercise improves your overall disposition. When you exercise, your body releases endorphins—feel-good chemicals—in your brain. As a result, you’re happier and may view the challenges that arise in a more positive and productive light.

You’re better prepared to tackle challenges. Exercise not only makes you happier and more positive, it also makes you more confident to deal with whatever comes your way. The progress that you make in the gym or while pounding the pavement offers lessons in perseverance that can easily translate into other parts of your life as well.

You’re more likely to track your progress. Whether you exercise to lose weight or you do it to improve your 5k time, chances are you keep track of your progress. After all, how else will you know how close you’re getting to your ideal? The same is true for your business. Tracking helps you to identify patterns, assess your progress and reach your goals. If you’re used to tracking in one area of your life, you’re more likely to track in other areas as well.

Good morning Bob. You are very wise my friend. I'm in my calendar everyday or I should say 5-6 days a week that is my time to take care of me. I know if I don't take care of it, it won't take care of me.

One part of my life that has really suffered because of real estate. I'm working to change that.

It's 7:56am, and this post has all the right ingredients. Especially.....

Helping make your real estate dreams a reality

2016 is starting with me making the commitment to do everything I can to reduce knee pain and get stronger. Pilates classes twice a week; yoga once a week; physical therapy weekly; daily PT exercises -- and aiming for 10,000 steps 6 days a week -- it takes a lot of time, but well worth it.

Good morning Bob Crane      I enjoyed your blog, thank you for sharing.   I agree,  when we look good we feel good.  Sometimes we tend to take care of every one else and don't take care of our selves    I love just going out for a walk, I always feel so much better when I get back, the fresh air, running into people.   I hope you have a great week

I know many work places, mine included, offer incentives to be mindful of your health.  We had Walktober - back in October encouraging a minimum of 30 minutes of walking per day.  Now we are having a slamdunk contest using nutrition and exercise.  If we participate in these activities we get a bonus.

Hi Bob-health is one thing I never ignored. I have been a card carrying member of a gym for 42 years and use it! The past 10 years I have gone at least 5 days a week without fail-even on vacation. Then there is the outdoor activity added to it. Your business absolutely reflects your healthiness.
