Are you thinking of purchasing your first home in Huntsville, Madison, or the surrounding area?  Buying a home can be a scary and sometimes overwhelming process especially when you experience it for the first time.  There are questions, doubts, and concerns that arise during this time.  You do not have to be alone during this time.  There are real estate professionals in the area that are willing to help you.  There are also resources in the Huntsville community available to first time homebuyers in our area.  Here are a couple of upcoming events provided to help homebuyers with the information they need to purchase their first Huntsville Home.

Family Services Center provides a free training class for first time homebuyers.  The course is two consecutive sessions beginning on the first Monday of each month.  The next class will begin on May 5th.  It will be from 5:00pm to 9:00pm held at 600 St. Clair Avenue in Building 3.

Alabama A&M University Community Development is hosting a Homebuyer education class.  The class topics include credit reports, budgeting, the role of a Realtor, and qualifying for a mortgage.  The class is $30 but there are scholorships available.  In the upcoming month, the four-part series of classes will be held at 117 Wholesale Avenue in Suite 11on May 12th, 13th, 19th, and 20th.  Huntsville Alabama Real Estate Blog

    		Kimberly ~ I think it's a great idea of first-time buyers to attend a home buying seminar. There is so much to know and I think that buyers would feel more comfortable with the process. Also, it may help prevent the mortgage mess from happening all over again.

    Kimberly, What a nice, informative post for the first time buyers! Can you attend any of the classes and pass a few cards out, or offer advice? You would do well if they would allow you to do that. Have a great week!.

    		You can attend the classes to get the information just like any one else but you cannot solicit business while you are there.  HOWEVER, you can send your clients to the classes and as long as they let them know that you are their Realtor then they will return them to you when they complete the classes.  You can be put on their Realtor list and if someone says they do not have a Realtor then they will give them three random names from the list.
