Not an AR believer yet?

Blogging on AR takes a real effort for many, including myself. I am not as creative as I would like to be. I am working on it though. I wanted to take a quick minute and let you know that IF you will commit to building your blogs readership, you will get clients.

Last night, I came home from church to an email from a potential Seller. He basically stated that he was ready to sell his home and would like me to contact him. I replied back, asked him for his number and that I would call him today. When I called, I reached voicemail. Within 30 minutes he called me back.

Here is where AR becomes powerful though...When you get a referral from Active Rain, it is basically a done deal. At least that is what I am finding. People read what you write. They get a feel for your thought process and the way you conduct your business. When they contact you, it is because of YOU.

Blog! Blog! Blog!

I will be calling this client on Monday to discuss listing prices and the options that he has. Can I call him a client at this point? Absolutely, he was sold on my services and ability before we ever spoke. Tuesday, I will have a signed listing agreement. My blog did all the work, and I am reaping the benefits.

Does it always work this way? No. However, it works this way more than it doesnt.

Brande, You are so right! Blogging does take some effort, and lots of thought, but it is worth it!

Carla - This is the ONLY place that I blog. I am not one to spread myself to thin. I rather have one avenue that brings me a lot of success rather than several that only bring a little. Besides, I dont have that much time on my hands....lol I know people who do use Realtown, and I have heard that it is a pretty cool place. I guess I am just having a love affair with Active Rain, and dont want to cheat...lol

Jeannette - The reason they arent here is because even though blogging is becoming a household name, its still the biggest secret out there. Look around Active Rain and all the lost talent. So many people joing hoping that just having their name there will bring them business...Wrong answer! Let's enjoy that more people dont understand the power...lol

Way to go Brande! You know I am a firm believer. Anyone that wants to be successful in this business cannot deny the impact of the internet and more specifically blogging!

I use my blogs to advertise on Craigslist. I have put a ton of hours into learning how to post blogs and it has certainly panned out. Once they call me, they already know who I am and what I can do.

Windy - I have been on AR a litte over a year, but it took me awhile to really get started. I blog about whatever I want. I think it is important for potential clients to see that we are human :-)

Derrick - your right it important to be positive, but you also have to be realistic. By being able to share concerns over the negative things, also lets people know that your eyes are open and your knowledgeable. Sugar coating the negative can sometimes back fire. I am a very positive person, but I always try to keep it real

Harold - Thank you! Where have you been? I havent seen you around lately. Maybe we are hanging out in different parts of the rain.
