Cookeville Relocation and a Sunset
For folks relocating to Cookeville, the community is often just as important as the home they buy. In some cases, even more so if "where" you choose to move to is optional. As a local Cookeville Realtor, one of the things I do to help my buyers who are relocating is to show them around the town. I enjoy introducing people to my community because it's a beautiful place with so much to offer.
One of my personal favorite things in our area is all of the outdoor activities we have in our backyards. We have several huge lakes, rivers, and loads of state parks. We also have some great little city parks. My personal favorite city park is Cane Creek Park.
Even though it's on the outskirts of town, it's actually quite large - 262 acres. It's close enough that you can go for a walk on your lunch break, and it happens to have a fantastic trail. There's more than one trail but my favorite is the lake trail. This trail is a paved trail that goes completely around the 56 acre lake and is about 2 miles in length. You can get a good workout and you have gorgeous scenery too. Wildlife at the park is abundant. It's not uncommon to see geese, ducks, blue heron, fish, snakes, turtles, frogs, rabbits, and deer.
This picture was taken at sunset this past Sunday, March 13th 2016. Who wouldn't like to wrap up a busy day with a stroll around this lake?
Cane Creek Park is located at 201 C C Camp Rd, Cookeville, TN 38501.
In addition to walking trails, the park also offers fishing, paddle boat rental, and BBQ sites.
Relocating to Cookeville? Be sure to take a walk around Cane Creek Park after a long day of house hunting and exploring the town. You won't be disappointed!
