More on Legal Size Paper Costs

The best place to buy legal size paper is FedEx @ 35.50 per case with free shipping over $50. Order 2 cases and you have met their criteria.

Go to www.FedEX.com click on United States and then click on "Office Print Services" then put code: XER3R2051

When you get to checkout put in code: FDKSAVES and save $5.00 when you purchase over $50.00.

Last week when I compared legal size paper at Sam's Club it was $42.65 a case.

Great price and I hope FedEX keeps paper at this great price. Take advantage while it is offered.

"A Quick Note"

Yes, thank you Joan. Ran out of legal paper in the middle of month end yesterday. I rushed to the nearest office supply store (OfficeMax). The least expensive ream of legal was $8.49. I will never let my self be in this situation again!

As Jacqueline posted: She ran out of legal size paper and had to spend twice the money to purchase legal size paper.

Well,  most of us that have been in this industry for a few years, have done the same thing Jacqueline did and rush out and buy legal size paper at the last minute and it never cheap at Staples, Office Max/Etc because Evey company  only has one choice of legal size paper to buy.

We need to plan ahead! Duh!

I purchased my legal paper from FedEx (Corporate Express) and was surprised to find that my legal paper was cheaper then my letter sized paper.  They are the cheapest out there and it is isn't so hard to spend more then $50.  I ordered other office supplies as well as paper.  Before I went out and purchased in bulk I had bought one ream at Staples for $10.79!!  :O

Last week I purchased a case of letter size paper at Sam's Club and it was $26.27 plus tax in Moreno Valley CA.

Anyone  know of a price any cheaper?

Is that for a 250 sheet ream or 500 sheet?

With the price of gas approaching $4.00 per gallon, I not surprised at the increase in paper cost as the manufacturer's production and shipping cost have risen and is being passed on to the retailer who pass it on to the retail customers, at the bottom of the food chain.

Actually, if you're a notary you are not the bottom of the food chain.  Have you passed your increased cost on to the companies that require you to print documents?  Or are you buying paper for personal use, just to have some on hand.

I was attempting to be funny with that last comment!  I think it is fair time that notaries increase their fees for travel, printing edocs, for services related to witnessing documents that don't require notarization and demand to be paid the mandated state minimum per signature fee.

If you fail in doing any of the above, you are operating a hobby and not a business.

There is no logical reason why any notary should accept less than $150 - $200 per loan signing minimum.
