If asked, “WHAT IS THE AMERICAN DREAM”, many would say something like, “A HOUSE FOR EVERY FAMILY”...Those of us in the Real Estate field have used that answer as a type of ‘mantra’ to justify our very existence since we got into the business...BUT...
What may have been a satisfactory answer for decades doesn’t quite ‘hold water’ anymore...I believe that the real ‘AMERICAN DREAM’ today would be, “A DECENT JOB FOR EVERYONE AND A BETTER FUTURE FOR OUR CHILDREN AND GRANDCHILDREN”...!!!
Truth be known, budget wise and economically speaking, the OLD AMERICAN DREAM just didn’t always fit for many Americans...Single households and households with no children were often more economically better off renting rather than owning...
AND then there were those families or singles who just did not wish to own their own homes...perhaps due to mobility, career, family and economic considerations, health needs, personal choice, etc.
So as we listen to all the campaign promises being rendered by every politician ought we not to be listening to hear which candidate(s) offer us a path to THE REAL AMERICAN DREAM...AND...
Perhaps we should be including God in many of our plans and decisions, especially when considering which candidate(s) to vote for...!!!
My friends, this is a critical election in our nation’s history...Make no mistake about it, we all need to cut through all of the empty rhetoric and the stale and overused cliches they have been feeding us for years now...Much prayer and intelligent reflection will be required if we are to set our nation back on the right course...!!!
THE USA, a nation of over 300 million individuals each perennially blessed by God, has the brilliant and intelligent and honest and dedicated sons and daughters of God that are capable and willing to be used and enabled by Him to lead our country in the path that only God can lead us...THAT IS THE RIGHT PATH, THE RIGHT AMERICAN DREAM, AND THE RIGHT PRAYER FOR THE GOOD OF ALL AMERICANS...AND THE WORLD...!!!
HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND AND LET US USE THIS UPCOMING ‘HOLY WEEK’ as a continuing PRAYER OF REFLECTION AND PREPARATION for THE COMMEMORATION OF THE CENTRAL EVENT OF CHRISTIANITY...THE LIFE, DEATH, AND RESURRECTION OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST...!!!
