What do you love about the area your home is in?

 

Frogtown has a small town feel to it, with many great locally owned restaurants. The Frogtown area is wonderful since it is centrally located, with a 5 minute drive to downtown St. Paul and 15 minutes to downtown Minneapolis. We are just blocks from the new Green Line. This area also has a great variety of locally owned restaurants and wide selection of ethnic food. Frogtown is located close to many shopping areas, like Midway and Rosedale. There are multiple churches within a couple miles.

 

If you are in a neighborhood, what great things do you do there?

 

Our neighborhood is great for young families. There are multiple playgrounds and parks within walking distance. The people are very friendly, saying hello to us while we are walking our dog. Our next door neighbors are very friendly and helpful.

 

My favorite restaurants around this home are:

 

We love to eat at Que Nha, Culver’s, Snuffy’s and Connie’s Creamy Cone. We are very close to Roseville, which has a wide variety of options.

 

Grocery stores I love to shop at:

 

There are many grocery stores in the Midway area, including Cub, Rainbow, Super Target and Aldi’s. A couple miles down Lexington Ave you will find a Trader Joe’s.

 

Key points about the house that you were drawn to:

 

When we bought the property we were drawn to the old fashioned charm but were pleased that the necessities had all been updated. The hardwood floors, beadboard and the wood trim give the house its own character. We enjoy the natural light coming from our first floor windows. We love taking our dog for a long walk around the neighborhood. Many of the homes in this area have special characteristics. Kids love to play in a wooded area that is 2 blocks from our house. We are excited that the new Frogtown Farm has opened.

 

What did you do for interests and hobbies near to the property?

 

We enjoy going to the Great River Water Park at the Oxford Community Center. We are close to Como Lake, Como Zoo and the Como Pool. With the new Green Line, we are excited that we will never have to pay for parking at major sporting events or concerts.
