Keep Your Social Media Content Mixed Up

When maintaining your social media channels it is important to keep content fresh throughout the year.  Your industry will likely have many stories worth sharing that deal with a similar subject, and daily upkeep of the profile is bound to see some reposts.  There are a few good ways to help spice up the content and keep people interested, even if you are delving into the same subject matter over and over.  When we do our posts about our Highlands Ranch property management company we will do a lot of localism posts about events in the area.  Over the years the same events will continue to happen so it’s best to put a little effort into sprucing up the individual posts.

Mixing up the content you share weekly is the most important thing to consider when posting to social media.  You will have trusted vendors and a help circle of white and blue collar workers that you trust and use their services.  IF they have social media be sure to repost or share some of their content as well.  It helps to spread the word out about them, and any overlap in your professions will be interested to share.

If you can, use your own images.  Stock images will definitely get reused all over the internet and will cause some of your content to be lost in the sea of available information.  Your own unique photos will be tied to you and specialized for your area.  Plus, you don’t need any permission to use original content you create yourself.

The most important step to maintaining the social media outlets is to understand what content people come to your page to see.  There are plenty of analytics tools available to determine which posts generate the most traffic or reposts.  Stick to those at least once a week and try out new things maybe once a month.  Once you have a firm understanding of what people navigate to your page for you will be able to keep fresh content circulating through all year.

Keeping it fresh is hard sometimes. Good points here.

Kevin great ideas. Keeping it mixed and fresh is the goal. Not always so easy but worthwhile for sure.
