Spring is trying hard to break through Winter, but Winter Is Giving Spring A Fight Here In Middletown, CT. However, my money is on Spring winning out over Winter.
Our flowers have started to bloom. First it was the crocuses a week and a half ago, and last week the daffodils and maple trees start to bloom as well. With no snow yet in March, and with the first day of Spring officially here, the flowers must have felt safe.
Well this is New England and nothing is safe weather wise. Last night into today our flowers and trees got a surprise of 2"-3" of snow. The good thing is the weather was very warm today and mother nature quickly melted the snow away. I did not even have to take the snow shovels out for this one.
Hopefully this is the last of the snow for this year, and we will start to see more spring colors as we go forward. Below are some of the before and after snow pictures, unfortunately the snow melted off of the tree branches before I could get a picture of it.
