GOING GREEN IN REAL ESTATE

Ok here's a topic that we ALL need to be addressing!  I want to become more in tune with selling homes that can SAVE ENERGY and where buyers and sellers can get DISCOUNTS for APPLIANCES, YARD LANDSCAPING AND BASICLY ANTHING THAT CAN HELP SAVE ENERGY AND CONSERVE OUR WATER SOURCES.

This is going to be BIG Business this year and I want to help people conserve and be more aware of our enviromental issues because it IS IMPORTANT.

Links to solar power energy sources, zero landscaping, more efficent and energy saving appliances and so on and so forth.

3 Comments on GOING GREEN ~ REAL ESTATE IN FLORIDA

This is as close to green as I get: ...or maybe this:

In all seriousness, I believe in taking care of our environment, in not wasting resources and recycling.  Do I believe we are in a crisis?  No.  I believe we lead the world in such efforts.  That makes us the good-guy, not the baddie...

Patty - I am really researching some green technologies for my home here in Clermont.  I found this site which allows for reclaiming rainwater.

http://www.newwater.com.au/rainwater_tanks.asp

I am looking for some local/cheaper solutions, but the idea is solid!  One would be able to collect rain water as we get those summer showers, and then fit a pump/sprinkler system to these for additional watering in the days to come.  Then we wouldn't have to spend our county water to keep the lawns looking nice!  This would be a good cost savings - but more than that - a way to "spread out" the rains for more than just the day we get them!

Thanks for the other links to green technologies as well!

Richard~  I have been doing alot of research the past couple of days since I have to stay off my knee that suddenly decided to have a "blow out".  What better time to research about "Going Green"

There was even something this morning on Channel 9 WFTV about Orange County being the first to offer a an incentive for solar powered Hot water heaters.
