Seven Meadows - a strong brand

When people think of branding they think of brands like Coca Cola, Budweiser or Starbucks.  People's names can also be a brand, for instance Tiger Woods or Michael Jordon are names (or brands) that if put on items like shoes or golf clubs will take up the sells (price and volume) of those items.

People seldom think of neighborhoods as brands, however they should.  When people ask you where you live they do not ask what street you live on (at least in most of the country) they ask you what neighborhood you live in.  This is harsh but true, people will make dozens of assumptions about you (whether true or not) after hearing your answer.

I am not saying that his should drive the real estate purchasing decision but it should have influence.

An example of a neighborhood that has done an excellent job creating, maintaining and defining it's brand is Seven Meadows in Katy Texas,  Everyone in the Houston area knows where the community is, they understand the type of development it is, and they know the types of homes available in that community.  Seven Meadows has made itself a very desirable location for homeowners and business. 

The person overseeing this brand is doing an excellent job protecting the brand which leads to homeowners to being proud to answer Seven Meadows when the question is asked "where do you live".  The brand manager of the Seven Meadows brand is also partly responsible for rising home prices in Seven Meadows.

So when you select a neighborhood for yourself or your client make sure you consider if the community is a strong brand name.

Katy Real Estate News- Seven Meadows Named One of the Top 10 Master Planned Communities in the US

Robert Charles Lesser and Company, a nationally respected independent real estate advisor just named Seven Meadows as one of the Top Ten Master Planned Communities in the United States.

Katy was the only city with two communities finishing in the Top 10 (Cinco Ranch also faired well in the report).  The Houston Area had two more master planned communities as well (the Woodlands and Sienna Plantation).

Make no mistake about it Katy is one of the hottest places in the country to live; great schools, great communities, low cost of living, and three major hospitals locating here in the next three years.
