Active Rain Lives Up to Its Word!

Here's a (damn sexy) photo of me with my fresh, new copy of Purple Cow. It just arrived in the mail. I'm happy to say that, after my post was featured this week, it must have been sent out immediately. Thanks Jonathan!

I wish I could tell you that it would make me a better blogger or that I'll read it from cover to cover, but the truth is that it has way too many big words for me to feel comfortable with it. Next time I get a featured post, send me a dictionary!

P.S. I had three featured posts this week. Does that mean that I can get a copy of the Long Tail also?

Wow, just mention ActiveRain in your blog title and you get featured... I'm going to try that trick. I spent a few hours writing How to list a rental property properly and I got no love from Active Rain... maybe I should shave my head and take a picture with my wife for my profile... Congrats man...

My professional advice is to never spend more than 5 minutes on a post. That way, if AR gives you no love you can say, "Hey, I only lost 5 minutes."

Jonathan - I would have never known that was you! Let us know how you like that purple cow!

Jonathan, so your rebelling from the service life, not to worry, you will get over it. It only takes 37 years to do so. I know, that is how long it has taken me, humm, am I really over it? Maybe it will take longer, never mind what I said, keep the beard!

I am new here, how do you get a post featured? You get "prizes" for featured posts?

To get featured, write a good or interesting post, or just get lucky (as is the case with me). Prizes are for a limited time only.
