Looks like you had a great ride.

Love my horse, a cutting horse named Slimshady.  He's awesome and I enjoy him so.

Looking at your pictures, I just want to saddle up.

Linda -  Cutting horses are great!  Do you have any pictures?  I'd love to see them.  Do you compete?  My horse is 3/4 Arabian and 1/4 Saddlebred.  I got him when he was 5 years old, and he was pretty green.  He is now 8 years old and doing great!  I just love him...!

Debi...I'm the one.  I read and commented on another recent post about your horses and said it wasn't fair to write about them without showing them to us.

Thank ou so much for sharing your photos.

Hi Debi - I love horses!  It's good to meet other horse people, even in this network.  Great photos too by the way!  I dabbled a bit in horseback riding (hunt seat style) off an on as a kid and in college, but never got beyond novice level.  I learned a lot more about handling them back at Michigan State when I worked in the Vet School's Equine ward.  It was fun.  I miss it.

Jessica - Thank you!  My daughter is learning how to jump.  She thinks it's great.  I'm not sure what I think, yet...  :)

Debi - that's ok, every time I got to the level of jumping something would happen to my trainer.  So I never got that chance.  But I can tell you that my mother never liked the idea of me jumping.  So I think deep down, she was probably thrilled that I never got the chance.  I think it is that motherly instinct thing.  You want your kids to be safe.

Jessica - Yes, I believe you're right.  I am excited for her at the same time, though.  When I was her age  (19), I would've loved to have had the opportunity she has.  :)
