Pets....and why they're family members

By
Services for Real Estate Pros with VersaLand

Pets.  Dogs, cats, fish and guinea pigs just to name a few.  They all quickly become members of our families, with all of their qualities.  Some family members leave socks around the house, some of our pets leave chew toys and catnip.

It is undeniable that pets have all of the personality characteristics of human beings.  They are happy and sad, young and old, slow and sprightly.

I have a pet German Shepherd whose name happens to be Boomer.  He has become a mascot of my company for many of our customers.

Who else has pets that play active roles in not only their home lives, but also their business?

When I was shopping for a recliner for my home office, I specifically shopped for one that allowed space for a cat to fit in the seat with me.  Sometimes there is one on the headrest too.  Not too fond of when they walk across the keyboard though...

My horse sports my company advertisement on his blanket, his trailer, and his tack.  Well, he has to earn his keep.

One of my cats pushed the printer off the desk onto the floor.  I guess that counts as him working in the business.

We haven't had a pet for some years now, but we did have two Schnauzers.  Our first Schnauzer joined us 6 months after we were married.  He lived to be 18 and grew up with our sons.   The boys were teenagers when we got our second Schnauzer.  He was with us for 16 years.  The best line we had to describe just how much each was a part of the family was, "they not only didn't know they were dogs, they didn't know they were adopted."

We have two dogs and they own the house, at least the sofa and certain choice spots on the floor.  Seriously, they are members of the family, I don't know what we would do with out them!
