I like sports as much as the next person, and found myself watching the NFL Draft.  Not that there is anything wrong with the NFL or it's draft, but it is a waste of time.  I mean, I am as guilty as anyone else for watching, it is sort of like coming up on a gory car wreck, you tell yourself you aren't going to look, but you slow down and stare intently.  I don't have anyting against the NFL nor the draft, it is just a huge waste of a Saturday.

I finally pried myself away from the TV and drove to a rental property that Darcy manages and did some minor repair work.  Like I said not an indictment on the NFL nor it's draft, it is just I don't understand why I get so wrapped up into something that is so boring: who are they going to pick and why.  I will be honest, I love to watch Football, but the draft?  I have heard all of the arguments and they are mostly valid about the need of the teams and how each of these kids will or will not fill those needs, but does that make it entertaining?  It must have been because I spent well over an hour watching before I turned it off and actually did something.

I don't get into it anymore. I love the NFL but the draft does nothing for me.

Tony & Darcy, I would have to agree with you. I have a friend who will plop down in front of the boob tube and watch it for the entire day. Then he expects me to talk about it. I usually say is the football the oblong type ball made of leather. LOL

Tony, I watch as many NFL games as I possibly can during the season but watching the draft does not interest me.  I watched the Pittsburgh Penguin hockey game today (since I am a native Pittsburgher) and we won!  Of course, I missed part of it because I was writing a contract, which was more important than any sports event!

I look forwards to the beginning of the games this year, but I have to wonder where I'll find time to watch them!
