Daytona Beach has many beautiful bridges which span the beautiful Halifax River. The Halifax River (Intracoastal Waterway) flows through the Daytona Beach area. From the North in the city of Ormond Beach and South to the Ponce de leon Inlet in the city of Ponce Inlet.
The Seabreeze Bridge
was constructed in 1995-1998
by the Florida Department of Transportation

The Seabreeze Bridge Project consisted of the construction of two high-level segmental bridges over the Intracoastal Waterway in Daytona Beach. (This beautiful photo courtesy of Megan Marsh Photography).
- The two structures were each 2,290 LF and 2,320 LF in Length. The segmental box girders were variable in depth and 49' wide in section.
- The bridge was constructed on 24"SQ concrete piles and supported on precast concrete piers. 3,486.237 lbs of reinforcing steel.
- 46.521 LF of 24" SQ Prestressed Piles
- 20,000 CYof Structural Concrete
- GLF Construction Corporation was the Contractor for the Project
