HomeGain on Active Rain

Bob Stewart invited me.

Fellow HomeGain bloggers Brian Brady, Linda Davis and Mary Mcknight also hang their hats here.

I know Max the HomeGain gorilla has been here since February and has found it quite hospitable. http://blog.homegain.com/max-visits-activerain-no-umbrella

So here I am. Bob thanks for the invite.

I'll use this space not to talk about HomeGain, unless asked or its relevant to the discussion, but would prefer that HomeGain related topics be addressed on the HomeGain blog. Http://blog.homegain.com

I'll also try to figure out the point system, html, localism and what real estate agents are saying.

The first thing I would like to know is in today's market what are the top impediments to getting a deal closed.

-no customers/leads?

-customers unrealistic expectations?

-too much competition (too many sellers not enough buyers)?

-prices still too high?

-difficulties in dealing with bank owned properties?

-inability of customer to get financing?

the buyer has to be ready to buy- they think they can wait and get a lower price. they may wait too long and see the prices go up and they missed the bottom.  good luck....michael

Do you work mostly with buyers?

What do you tell buyers who are trying to get the lowest price.

In the  stock market , they tell you  NOT to time the market.

Does that advice hold in real estate?

I hear a lot about either financing the purchase, or the need to sell an existing home before buying again.

Welcome to Active Rain.

Do you represent buyers only? It would seem if you could work with clients on selling their homes you could be in a good position in assisting with the buying.
