Potomac Shores near Woodbridge, Virginia is becoming a very popular destination community for Northern Virginia home buyers.

 Potomac Shores is actually in Dumfries , Virginia if you are to Google it.

I met a couple several months ago at an Open House at 2440 Glouster Pointe, Dumfries, Virgina 22026 who said they tried to buy a year ago at Potomac Shores but got scared off by the prices. They were now back in the community and were kicking themselves.

I asked why they did not move forward and they said they just thought the prices were to high. You see they live in a community near by that is about 20 years old and could not believe people would spend more for homes than they could sell theirs for. After all it is in the same area!

I asked if they had help or just trying to buy on their own? They said we now have an agent but previously we did not, we learned our lesson! I said well good I hope that you are successful this time.

So you may be wondering what is so confusing about buying a new home?

First of all there are with over thirteen home styles and six models some to see some of  which they do not even offer now. That in itself an be an overwhelming experience. You see the base price on the price sheet but what does it really cost to build a finished home. The sales representatives will try and answer but again will be vague at first. They are not trying the evade your question,they truly do not know until they sit down with you to talk needs and wants before they can give you a price. I have buyer clients who have paid in the high $400's to $800,000.

 

The builders at Potomac Shores have an excellent staff but there is only so much six people can do to handle the typical visitor traffic and questions.

The crowds will continue to flock to the community. If  you are someone who is trying to make a buying decision you need to be able to to understand your options, narrow down a price point and  how much you can customize a home to fit within your budget.
