The Friends of Schmeeckle Reserve will be hosting their Spring Candlelight Hike Festival on Friday May 6th.
This is an event that is held every fall and spring where you can enjoy torch lit hiking trails, crafts, discovery stations, and campfire programs.
This year’s program will be entitled "Underwater Schmeeckle: Life Below the Water's Surface" and will be fun for people of all ages.
The Campfire Program, "Underwater Schmeeckle", will be presented at 7:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. at the campfire ring |
"What lurks in the murky waters of Lake Joanis, the Reflection Pond, or Moses Creek? Dive below the surface to explore the underwater world of Schmeeckle Reserve. Meet aquatic critters such as a muskrat, crayfish, turtles, freshwater jellyfish, and others as they tell you about their liquid life." |
Other events all evening:

- Free Door Prizes
Admission is free, but a suggested donation of $2/person or $5/family helps to fund future programs and events.
