So often we only have time to see an airport, taxi and hotel in different cities, so Tami and I took an extra day and came to Pittsburgh yesterday.

Pittsburgh from across the river

Meetings will be held at the Sheraton Station Square, just across the river from downtown. This was the view from our window this morning.

The day was sunny and mild, perfect for our leisure day here.

This morning the free hotel shuttle took us over to  Carnegie Science Center where we saw the exhibit BODIES. It was a great exhibit and we spent a couple of hours there, learning a lot.

Back to Station Square for lunch at Bar Louie, where we ate outside overlooking the Mon.

After that we joined some of the other CyberProfessionals on the Duck Tour - great way to see both the city, from land and from sea. Our guide is just graduating as a theater major, and he and the driver/captain kept us educated and entertained all the way.

We really enjoy the spring CyberProfessionals meetings as we get to see smaller cities that can't host the big conventions. We've been to Providence, Albuqerque and Annapolis, for example.

The next two days should be filled with lots of ideas.

My husband grew up outside of Pittsburgh and most of his family is still there. I'm always impressed with how clean the city is! The Carnegie Science Center is one our family favorites. We have to drag the kids away every time we go! Station Square, Mount Washington and The Point are more of our favorites.

Can't wait to hear about your meeting - you will share all those great ideas, right Sharon!

Hi Sharon, I grew up in Ohio and would find my way to Pittsburgh often and it was always enjoyable. Tel me about the Cyber Professionals Group. That also sounds very interesting.

Hi Sharon,

Never been to Pittsburgh myself. Question, was your cyber event part of Hainge organization Cyber Stars?

Sharon, That is fun you went on the Duck Tour. There is one in Seattle too -- the vehicle looks so quirky, I want to do it!

Debbie - we're planning to go to Mt Washington for dinner tonight or tomorrow. I'll share things that are "for public consumption". Obviously there are some things we take our time and spend our money to find out, and that members don't want shared.

William - CyberProfessionals is a grassroots group of real estate agents from all over the US (plus Australia) who successfully utilize technology in our business. Generally there is only one agent per marketplace so there's lots of unqualified sharing. There are two meetings a year, one is in 2 days prior to NAR and in the same location, the spring meeting in one of these smaller cities. We communicate by group and individual online in between. I think you need to attend 1 in every 2 or 3 meetings to maintain your area exclusivity. Check out www.CyberProfessionals.net for more information and to see where members are. I think you'd really enjoy the group.

Lynda - no, it's a separate group. Several of us belong to both Allen's CyberStars and this grassroots CyberProfessionals, but most people belong to only one of the other.

Julianna - you should take it in Seattle. Tami and I plan to take it whenever we're in cities that have it. We saw the city, learned some of its history, and the theatrical personalities of the Guides made it lots of fun!

Sharon - I understand about the information. I did not mean to say I expected "trade secrets" You're always so good to share ideas when you can. I appreciate that!

Debbie - thanks for your comment. I didn't mean to be snippy, but I never want to promise more than I can deliver.  Underpromise and Overdeliver!

Margaret - it's always wonderful to see you, and to get phone calls in between. You're truly a role model. It was a special bonus to get to meet Lee.

 Sharon,

Lee and I just drove back to Baltimore. This was such a wonderful 2 day conference, so much good information, so many  good agents with creative ideas.

Loved being with you and Tami. Thanks for all you shared!

Margaret - how typical, that you and I are both sitting at our computers typing away. Glad to hear that you both arrived home safely. I have a lot to think about with some of the ideas YOU shared.

Sharon ~ That is a great shot of the river!  Especially considering you took it through a panel of dirty glass!

Margaret - maybe we should take all of our posts and copy them to the new CP ning site - or at least provide links there.

Kristal - consider that I not only took it through a panel of dirty glass, I took it with my iPhone!

Sally - we did indeed have fun. The CyberPros are a great group. Further, this was one of the few occasions when Tami and I did get a bit of extra time. We arrived on Saturday evening, so Sunday was Funday. We slept in, went to see THE BODIES exhibit (fantastic!), had lunch by the river, took a Duck Tour with some of the other CyberPros, relaxed for an hour, then had dinner with a group of CyberPros. That day had the best weather of all.

Margaret - thanks.

Sharon - the only thing I have ever seen of this city was the airport - and it was usually on an overcast day!

Barbara-Jo - I wonder if it was the old airport or the new one... the current airport has lots of wonderful shopping - the brands you would expect to find in a shopping mall. Hard to believe!
