I don't understand why people complain they have nothing to do.  I seem to have the opposite problem. It seems to me that finding something to do, is simply just a matter of looking around and getting moving.  (Granted, that can be hard at times.)   There are so many things to do, I can't do them all.

For instance, I didn't have time to ride my horse this weekend.  My friend Katie, did make time to jump on hers and ride around a little bit.  Katie on her horseShe had fun.

This weekend for instance, there were three concert options in the Brazos Valley area.

The Hawgs of Texas rally was in Sommerville.  Their three day main stage line-up included David Allen Coe, Tracy Connover, King's Highway, Vince Neil, Dimitris Rail, Tommy T & the Roadhouse, Jackyl, Great White, Lights Out and Southern Glory.  Attendance for this event is expected to top 10,000.

On Saturday, at Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater in College Station, was the Duck Jam - a Ducks Unlimited Fundraiser.  The line up included Roger Creager, REckless Kelly, Brandon Rhyder, Micky and the Motor Cars, Rich O'Toole, and Jeff Hobbs and the Jacks.

In Downtown Bryan, was the KEOS 89.1 Spring Fundraiser Concert.  Their line up included Tom Tranchilla, Beth Isbell, Sweet Mama Cotton, Willie B, Selia Qynn, Kenyon White, Saylor White, and the Neeley Lewis Band.

Tonight (Sunday), the Brazos Valley Symphony Orchestra is holding a free concert under the stars at the Wolf Pen Creek Amphitheater in College Station.

And, all of these activities are just related to music!  Even if I didn't go, I probably could spend over an hour just trying to figure out what type of music some of these people played.  There were other activities, such as a trail ride benefiting St. Jude at Tonkaway Ranch, numerous sporting events, etc. going onWhy do people think there is nothing to do?  Is that just something people like to say?

(For those of you who live in Bryan and College Station, don't forget to vote in the city elections.  Early voting starts tomorrow.)

I can relate to that, with 3 acres to mow, kids ball games, running a business, my dad having cancer, ect ect ect

Suzanne, thanks for the comment. Frequently it seems that people wish that CS had as much going on as in Austin.

Rob, I agree.  Thanks for the comment.

Bart, I'm sorry about your dad having cancer.  Hopefully, you get some enjoyment/relaxation out of the mowing and kids games.

Sondra - I frequently wonder what I did with my time before I had children! I was never board, but for the life of me, I can't remember what I did every weekend!

Good point Sondra - but ask me about something that happened when I was a kid and I can probably tell you in detail!
