QuickDraw Artistry at Waynesville Gallery Association's 2008 Benefit.

The Seventh Annual Quick Draw Benefit supporting Art in Haywood County NC Schools, sponsored by the Waynesville Gallery Association, was held last night (April 26th) at the Waynesville Country Club. Local artists set up shop and were given one-hour to create a fresh piece of work while those in attendance were able to wander and watch the works in progress. Being inspired by the artists, I enjoyed artistically dripping chocolate sauce all over my fresh strawberries and an apricot bar at dinner.

Hi Susie, More places should have events like this. Artists love to show what and how they do it and the lay people are fascinated by seeing their talents. A cool idea!

PS, What is driving the slideshow? Nice clean source with the black background. I like that.

Hi there William, I am one of those who is fascinated by the talents of artists. Believe it or not, I decided to try the Picasa web slideshow and it was so easy and quick I felt sure I didn't do it right. I tried it because I had uploaded photos to Picasa web and was too burned out to be able to figure out how to upload from Picasa to Flickr. Thanks for asking!
