This event is held once a year in the spring. It's hosted by the Town of Cedaredge. I know this is short notice, but better now than never to share the information. The clinic is tomorrow (April 16th) at the town park. It starts at 1pm and will go until 4pm. Meet at the Lion's Club pavilion.
Remember...no puppies under four months old and your dog MUST be on a leash.
I talked with Surface Creek Vet Center. Dr. Jeff will be on duty to give your dog the shots. It's $10 for a rabies shot and $10 for DHPP shot (this covers distemper and parvo).
If you live in town, it's required you have your dog licensed. You have to have a rabies shot to get a license and be in compliance. A license is good for a calendar year and cost $10...if your dog is spayed or neutered. If your dog isn't fixed then the fee is $50. If you don't get your dog licensed and it's caught running loose, the fines can be pretty steep. The base fine is usually $50, but it depends on the judge and if you are a repeat offender. The fines could go higher.
This clinic is an inexpensive way to look out for your dog's health and to give you some peace of mind. Lucky and I will be there, and I hope we will see you there. Lucky was happy to allow me to use his picture to promote this worthwhile community event.
I've lived on Colorado's Western Slope for over 26 years. I love this area and all it has to offer, and I enjoy sharing what I know about my home. As a REALTOR®, I also love to share my expertise in this area as well. If you need any real estate information for Montrose County, or Delta County, Colorado...please give me a call.
