Lacking presence. You know?
While waiting for buyers to show up for a scheduled appointment on a home viewing, another agent's clients were outside the home waiting. As I approached, a volley of questions came at me from three different people standing there.
It went something like this:
- Is renting allowed?
- Can we have dogs?
- Where is the pool?
- Where is visitor parking?
- What are the HOA fees?
- How many bedrooms upstairs?
- I heard there were some problems with settling in this area, can you tell me anything about that?
I told them their agent can answer their questions as my clients pulled up so we went inside to take a look. He arrived several minutes later and came through the door as we were leaving and asked for the key. I put it back in the e-key box so he could lock up when finished.
Agents: Show up on time. People are depending on you to be the professional and arriving 15 minutes late to a set appointment is inexcusable. Your clients should not be engaging other agents because you lack presence or there may be trouble ahead. You know?
