An interesting July morning, as a big summer storm moves through Rockford south of us, and the Weather Channel warns of a 110 heat index this afternoon, the air is thick with 100% humidity, the sky is overcast gray, and the dewpoint is high. It's the height of summer. As we sit on the patio looking out over Lake Delavan, we enjoy what is a perfect temperature for human consumption. If it weren't for a slight rumble of thunder in the distance, you'd think we were at Grand Cayman island. For now, the feeling is tropical. ...and a light shower begins...
