When Irma Cahn was questioned by her architect George Fred Keck in 1936 about what kind of house she wanted her reply was " I want a house of the day after tomorrow"
I had to think about her reply and ask myself what kind of house was that then and what kind of house would it be today?
Ms Cahn had been to the 1933 Chicago World's Fair and had seen the exhibit by Keck called the "House of Tomorrow" and wanted a house just like it. The house she had build was a one story Mid Century Modern home with 4 bedrooms, 6 bathrooms and a screened porch which overlooked the pool. It was also located on a 30 acre parcel lot in Lake Forest which was landscaped by Jens Jensen

If Ms Cahn were alive today what kind of house would she want? And so I did a search about homes and looked up future homes. When I think of modern or futuristic styles I think of the Jetsons or Woody Allen's movie Sleeper.
What do you think the "House of the Day after Tomorrow" will look like?
