Can you believe this? For those of you who have not heard the Clayton County School Board has had some problems the past couple of months.
- They hired Barbara Pulliam as superintendent. (She brought in unqualified workers from her old district this lowered morale and created tension that still exists in the system.)
- She helped in the over priced purchase of some land for new schools (She resigned after that).
- The board has constantly been at odds with each other.
- They hired an interim super who was previously fired and accused of providing answers to a standardized test.
- They have impeded the work of school staff by unauthorized requests.
- They think that they are doing a good job with the decisions they have made.
- They have not made 1 of the 9 requirements needed to retain accreditation.
- They hired a corrective super that SACS deemed unfit!
- They don't understand that if they don't step down not only will values continue to decrease in Clayton at an accelerated rate but all recall efforts will cost the citizens more.
These are some of the things the citizens of Clayton County have to deal with that have been reported. I shutter to think what has gone on behind closed doors.
