Celebrate Arbor Day in Elkhart, Indiana - April 30, 2016.
Elkhart will celebrate its 28th Arbor Day Celebration, at the Elkhart Environmental Center (ECC) April 30, 2016 from 10 am to 2 pm, at 1717 E. Lusher Ave., in Elkhart.
Demonstrations on how to properly plant and prune trees, will be led by the city's Forestry Division. There will also be demonstrations from local woodworkers, with an exhibit of artistry and talent, showing wood products made from reclaimed urban lumber.
Learn about the ElkhartWood program and see how it has impacted the Elkhart community and urban environment.
FREE trees, with a kit for planting and FREE food (While they last)
FREE parking available.
Mayor Neese will give his Arbor Day Proclamation at 11 am.
