Outdoor decorating - On a budget!

With the warm weather slowly making its comeback...

...Homeowners are scurrying to their nearest Lowe's or Home Depot to buy what they need to create that trendy outdoor patio for hosting company.  Not a host?  Maybe it's just for yourself!  But either way, no one wants to break the bank.  Get Redmond WA community reports

There are many ways to decorate your outdoor living space without taking out a loan.  My first tip is to use rope lighting as an inexpensive way to illuminate the area;  and it also looks really cool!  My next tip is for a DIY flower vase for the outdoor table.. involve the kids and have them paint a few empty wine bottles (don't involve them in the drinking of the wine of course), and stuff them with flowers for a vase that adds a pop of color! Also, if you're looking for new furniture but you're on a strict budget, there are many ways to dress up an old table by adding a bright-colored table cloth.  Now, if you're willing to use a bit of elbow grease then I would highly reccomend attending flea markets or yard/garage sales. One man's junk really is another man's treasure.  Some people see potential in something that someone else might see as trash.  There exists paint for a reason!  Found some old wooden outdoor chairs?  Paint them white and add some colorful throw pillows to the mix!  It will brighten the environment and get your outdoor resting area up and running.  Happy decorating and bring on the warmth!

David, funny you should write about this because I was at Lowes this weekend and it was packed and yes, outdoor items were flying off the shelves. Have a great week!

Hello David,  Love it and I agree with Susan, I was at Home Depot and outdoor items were selling fast.
