What a weekend. Before I get started I must first say she is O.K. Saturday morning my wife was leaving the casino in Oklahoma. Morning daylight and all is going well. A huge woman walks up behind her, grabs the strap of her purse, and hits her in the eye. My wife hangs on to the purse and swings around and pop's the lady back in the face. The lady then falls. She gets up to come back after my wife and supprise.......pepper spray right in the face! My wife has a injured hand and a huge black eye.

The woman is now in jail facing attempted robbery and assault. What she did not know is my wife is a cop. Bad choice of people to rob.

Would you have been prepared? Daylight in the parking lot of a company with camera's everywhere. Be aware of your surroundings. Keep some type of protection with you at "all" times!

How scary and so glad to hear that your wife was well prepared!  And most of all thank goodness the lady was also caught!

Darrell- I am glad your wife was okay. I have a six year old with me when I go out and I rarely have time to find the car with him and a buggy full of groceries. Not thinking anything could happen to me additude. This is a lesson to me, it can happen to anyone!

Darrell- Great post and we are really glad your wife is OK, bet that was a big surprise for the woman that jumped her-bad choice for sure for her. Everyone needs to be more cautious. Thanks for sharing.

I am glad she is ok.  She sounds like my kinda woman!  Thank you for putting us on alert.  Men have to be just as careful these days.

Wow your face is pretty stuff glade to hear shes ok. That Lady got exactly what she deserve a knock to the ground and jail time I hope she learned a lesson

That must have been pretty frightening for your wife, even if she is a cop, she wasn't expecting to become a victim.  I'm glad she is okay and I'm glad the assailant got to be on the receiving end of what she was dishing out!  I try to be cautious everywhere I go, but definitely wouldn't be prepared for someone hitting me in the face!

Wow. I am glad she is ok and gladder that she knew how to defend herself. I have been on the receiving end of an assault. I don't know if you can ever be "ready" for it but I keep it in the back of my mind to fight back if ever assaulted again. IT may save your life.
