I signed up for a Webinar sponsored by the National Association of REALTORS® and am thinking how sad it is that we need to even consider these issues.  Although I have not had any trouble or even felt uncomfortable at a showing or an open house, I know others who have.  I have also heard of robberies, rapes and murders of agents.  I am not naive enough to consider that this could not happen in my area.

It certainly could and someday will.

I am going to do what I can to prevent it from happening to me and try to talk some sense into those agents who think it would never happen "here". Many male agents, of course, seem to feel that they are bigger, stronger, smarter, faster and ????? than anyone else so they would prevail in any situation. Since we serve a rural area with remote properties a mile or more from anyone the danger is increased.

To sign up for the free webinar go to NAR and check it out.

Kathleen, safety should be our number one focus especially working with those we don't know.  Looks like you have taken a break from blogging.
