Google Analytics Tracking Code - Put it where?!?!?

No pun intended!

I have my Google Analytics tracking code, but don't know what do do with it.

Can anyone help me with the following questions?

Can I use it on AR? If so, does it go on each individual blog? I put it under "blog description" as recommended in another post, but Google doesn't recognize it.

I would like to use it with Googles Blogger (which I have set up as well). I can't find where to put it there either.

Help! I am HTML stupid! Thanks! JENNIFER

What is AR?

In your blog software you should be able to add Google's code to either the header or the footer. Just copy and paste it in as is. This way it will display on every page. It takes a few minutes to a day sometimes to finally get in to Google's servers and register as active.

I just installed Woopra on my blog, and the stats that thing gives you is incredible. It is all real-time - no more of this waiting until the next day with Google! It's free too.

Hi Johathan! AR is just short for Activerain. I checked out woopra. I may try and install it today.

I tried copy and pasting the google analytics html into my header, but it just shows up on my blog as the html code. I know I am missing something, but I don't know what!

Jennifer - I don't know if you can use it with AR - since it not really 'yours' - you would need to have to have your own site and have the webdesiginer put it in for you.

Marc - I guess I wasn't doing anything wrong then. It just isn't possible! Makes me feel a little better about my HTML abilities. Do you know of statcounter? Is that a better option?
