There aren't too many places where you can find fabulous barbeque near the venues for the NAR Mid-Year, but a 10-minute walk up Connecticut Avenue will provide great barbeque and a chance for DC area bloggers to get together with ActiveRain blog buddies from around the country.
The Place is called Fat Pete's, and it's on Connecticut Avenue near the Cleveland Park Metro Stop and just above the National Zoo. If you are driving from someplace in the DC Metro area, the parking meters open up at 6:30 sharp on Connecticut, just as rush hour ends. Also, there is a lot at Connecticut and Ordway or street parking in the neighborhood just to the west.
The food is terrific - I've tried it a few times! And wear comfortable clothing, because you might have to loosen your belt!
