We recently saw the Jungle Book, and it was an outstanding movie with lots of action.  Believe me when I tell you that the Jungle Book is part of our lives right here at TEAM Hughes Real Estate School!

So the basic story line, if you’ve never read the book or seen the movie, is that a black panther rescued a little tyke, brought him to the wolves in the jungle and they raised him.  A tiger that killed the little boy’s father got wind of the man cub and wanted to kill him.  From that point on, the story moves quickly, and many obstacles must be overcome.  The boy meets a bear after being hypnotized by a snake, gets stung by a gazillion bees while stealing honey for the bear, almost dies at the hands of a king orangutan, and then finally gets the best of the tiger.  During all the drama, however, one realizes the boy’s quest is all because he wants to be different rather than being stuck in a life with humans.

How do I think the Jungle Book is part of our lives on the local front?  Picture this scenario:  Someone is living a life that has been dictated to them by circumstances.  They go through the various stages and they are even happy for a time, but always in the back of their mind is a small voice tugging at their heart, tugging at their brain, reminding them that something is lacking in their life.  Some recognize the passion right from the start; others take time trying different ways to satisfy the nagging void.  The quest begins!  They run from this situation to that situation, trying desperately to fit in, and all the while something is missing.  Fear may keep them from latching on to their passion, insecurity may stop them, other commitments may keep them from pursing that passion.  They look at their lives, they’re battling snakes, they’re wrestling with monkeys, they’re trying desperately to do what is expected of them, but it just doesn’t work!

Finally, they reach the pinnacle and know they will never be happy until they follow their passion.  For us, we see our students reflecting years of wishing, years of dreaming and finally, taking the step toward financial independence, self-employment, and entrepreneurial lives.  Sure, it may not be as dramatic as the Jungle Book, but the Jungle Book is part of our lives within our hearts until we step out of their comfort zone.

Put the Jungle Book to rest in your life.  Follow your passion, realize your dream.  Call us because we are the good guys from the story, and we’re going to get you where you want to be!  http://www.teamhughesrealestateschool.com

Good morning Carrie! Although my children are grown, I still want to go see Jungle Book and I agree that there are lessons to be learned by it.  Thanks for sharing your review of it.

Thanks for responding, Susan!  You definitely should see the movie - it was amazing, and Bob and I took no kids with us!
